I just stumbled on this very impressive archive of YOOX covers which dates back to 2001.
Updated monthly, the YOOX covers feature designs by Alberto Biagetti, Alessandro Guerriero and Mirko Ginepro among others with special effects by Riccardo Russi, Walter Masini, Diego Corsi and Mirko Ginepro and more.
Models featured are both photographed and digitally produced and come from such modeling agencies as Riccardo Gay and 2Morrow Model.
The designs are futuristic to say the least and highly conceptual. In 2005 and 2006 Flash was added to animate the covers.
The extensive library of covers is a fascinating study in digital art and creativity. Recommended!
