Self Edge Grand Opening Party Pictures

Self Edge Grand Opening Party Pictures
The Self Edge Grand Opening party was this past Saturday and people came out in full force. I recognized quite a few faces in the crowd including the Transit/Turf crew, HUF crew (Keith included), Recon/Nort crew, J-Zone, Z-Man, Homeroom Crew, Jungle Life crew (duh), and more.

I was surprised to see so many people buying stuff but people just flipped over the premium denim - even I fell in love with an Iron Heart jacket - and the sales were brisk.

I got some good shots of the party which went on until midnight or so.

MOO Flickr MiniCards have arrived!

w00t! My MOO MiniCards are here and so very much better than I imagined. I first heard about the MiniCards through DownloadSquad and signed up for through the free 10 pack promotion as a trial.

My word, if this isn't THE answer to the business-card quandary I've been held captive by for the last 10 years (so many websites, which do I highlight and how?) then I don't know what's what.

The cards arrived cleverly packaged in these tiny thumbpacks and are surprisingly more "mini' than can be demonstrated in pictures - really just a couple fingers-full!

Well, I can say without a doubt that this is one of the coolest things I've stumbled on in ages. Being an amateur photographer and avid builder of all things web this is the perfect way to share the love in a social settings. What's that? Well here's my card!

The concept is refreshingly simple - select some pictures from your flickr account, choose a few details for the back of the card and that's it! The cards are made from heavy stock paper with a smooth satin finish and are completely recyclable. The samples I received included the Flickr logo on the back but the 100 pack paid version has the option to leave it off.

Sneaker Pimps San Francisco - Pictures!!
I've posted pictures of the recent Sneaker Pimps San Francisco show. Props to Turf for sending me an MMS of the Home Depot New Balance that actually got me irresponsible enough to leave the house knowing I had a 5am wake-up call. Trust me though - it was well worth it!

Upon walking in I was greeted by the unending site of shoes, shoes, shoes, shoes, and more shoes - lined over, on and around everything in site. The place was absolutely packed and the eye-candy was so fulfilling I couldn't get enough.

Custom shoes from everyone, every bay area show company and clothing manufacturer, Kid Koala and Dan the Automator (very dissapointing to be honest), + Futura live painting.

The result was a not-to-be-missed show for all sneaker heads. If/when this tour comes to your neck of the woods do NOT miss it!

I've posted a few pictures from the show to Flickr. Click the pic above or the link below to check 'em out.

Lensbaby 2.0 Review
Want a fun little lens that will add a creative spark to your repertoire?

Introducing the Lensbabies selective focus SLR camera lenses. Lensbabies bring one area of your photo into sharp focus, with that "sweet spot" surrounded by graduated blur. You can move the sweet spot to any part of your photo by bending the flexible lens tubing.

The Original Lensbaby has the impressionistic look of Holga cameras, but with an SLR camera's convenience and creative control. Lensbaby 2.0 offers a much sharper sweet spot of focus with minimal diffusion, even at its new, f/2.0 aperture setting. Lensbabies are available for Canon EF, Nikon F, and all other SLR camera bodies.

Check out the review and samples pictures on Photojojo!
