If nothing else it can be safey said that Kicks Hawaii has the most consistent, well-written, and produced newsletter in the game. Couple that with the fact that they release some of the illest shoes on the planet and you have a force to be reckoned with.

Shown here are 2 Air Force XXV Anniversary shoes for the ladies and 2 AF1 XXV Anniversary shoes for the mens. Personally I'm loving these red satin Air Force 1's that arrive just in time for Valentine's day.

Nike Skateboarding X Jeremy Fish = Fish Classic SB

Based on the Air Classic Model this Nike SB x Jeremy Fish collaboration is something different altogether. Featuring Jeremy's signature Silly Pink Bunnies on the heel and insole, an embossed flower pattern, gold accent, pink stiching and a stiff feel.

I picked these up at Undefeated Santa Monica on my trip down south last month. Initially I was a bit worried about the stifness and the toe box but these have really grown on me - especially with a stiff pair of selvedge jeans.

Royal Elastics X Andy Warhol

Andy Warhol has once again posthumously lent his likeness and ideology to sell a product, this time for the Royal Elastics Shoe Company who quote him as saying "Fashion wasn't what you wore someplace anymore; it was the whole reason for going."

Two Royal Elastics models have been outfitted for this joint venture - the low-cut Akselle Warhol Tex, and the Warhol Resi. Three models of the Tex and one of the Resi are on offer, each with a substantial amount of customization and sufficient amount of love - right on down to the sole. In my estimation, Royal Elastics have done much better here than Reebok did with their Basquiat Reebopper shoe - the Tex model is truer to the artists' vision (if such a thing could be said) and the details go much farther than the obvious.

The Warhol Akselle Tex shoes are $95 while the Resi Warhol is $125. Both available at Royal Elastics online.

Nike SB Wheat Dunk Mid-top

I've been on a 'want to get some hi-tops' kick for a while now but when I tried on some blue ones (Air Force 1 or was it Dunks?) a few months back I just couldn't do it. When it comes to Nike for me there's a fine line between stylin' and ghetto and Air Force One's with that loose velcro buckle thing just look stupid to me. I get the whole Run DMC connection (the era at least) but maybe I'm too old to appreciate the subtlety of wearing shoes that aren't secured all the way.

Either way, I think that Air force 1's With their too big toe area, huge heel and overall big everything look horrible on my feet. Not to say that I don't own 1 pair at least but those are purple and ya can't beat that.

Anyhow, back to the topic on hand. These dunk mids turned out to be just the answer for all the different high-tops I've been trying on. They're Nike SB which means they'll be well padded, they're mids which means they are a happy medium and they're Dunks which means they'll fit a little snugger, narrower and lower to the ground.

The first couple times I wore these I was in a lot of pain so I opened them up and cut off the elastic bands inside. That helped a bunch and now I'm just working them in. The laces are dope (I'm a sucker for a pair of interesting laces) and the leather is real nice. The $80 Nike SB price is a nice touch as well.

I picked these up at Undefeated in Santa Monica on a recent trip and the people working behind the counter were very nice and helpful to each and every person that walked in the store - myself included as I tried on 5 different shoes in multiple sizes. That's a huge departure from certain stores in this area where a guy won't even lift their head to acknowledge you've walked in the door.

Starting in 2002, Dutch fashion designer Alexander Slobbe began a collaboration with Puma in order to create a vintage line of sneakers and clothing honoring the founder of Puma - Rudolph Dassler. Rudolph Dassler is also famously known for his split with brother Adi Dassler after they jointly founded Adidas in the 1920's.

The collection features a variety of styles, materials, and coverings - all with the vintage Puma aesthetic from the 30's, 40's and 50's.

Various pieces from the collection can be purchased online from such retailers as 111Vox, Revolve Clothing, and Zappos.
