Claude Lelouch: C'etait un Rendezvous
C'etait un Rendezvous was filmed in 1976 throughout the streets of paris and taken in one shot using a car mounted camera. It's been said that the sound was dubbed over after the fact but so it goes with anything this spectacular - there are believers and doubters (as seen from the comments section at Autoblog). None however can deny the number of red lights, wrong way turns, near misses and sheer exhiliration throughout this nine minute short film. Seven minutes into it and my jaw was dropped wide open. When the film first debuted in 1976 the French director Claude Lelouch was arrested and because of this the film has remained underground for a number of years. It has finally resurfaced on DVD and you can see the full QuickTime movie over at WhoCares.de
